[ Happy New Year from Barbara and Patrick. In this photo we are eating at one of our favorite places, The Mandarin Ale House. They do the greatest fish & chips. We usually share one as we are watching our weight and also that we can only just manage one and a pitcher of beer for $5. The ale house has about 30 screens showing all sorts of sports and we were here most of the time to watch the World Cup. Roll on 2010 to watch the next one as the Jags have been very disappointing this year. The Gators are the only other football to watch. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are hoping to visit England in 2009.]
Thank you for visiting our new Internet site. We are using this platform to keep you informed of what we are doing in our lives and what we intend to be doing. We recently returned from a vacation in Tennessee and theSmoky Mountains. We stayed in Woodstock Atlanta and in Gatlingburg and in Nashville. Barbara has a cousin in Nashville who lives alongside the country stars. Keith Urban for example. Barbara has been very keen about moving there one day and spends a lotof time researching the home prices and the districts. There is even a branch of her company Blue Cross Blue Shield in Nashville. It certainly is a lovely state and the hills and dales suit me a lot. Not sure about the winter months but otherwise I am fine with moving a bit north.

I was born in Isleworth Middlesex in May 1943 and Barbara was born in Jacksonville Florida in Oct 1943. My family are from Guernsey. I lived in Jersey and Wales and London District. I was a Government Approved Driving Instructor in Rainham Essex and in Peterborough Cambridgeshire. I also became a Videographer and did work for Lady Palmer and King Hussein of Jordan. I also took a year of Computer Studies in Whittlesey Isle College outreach and became a part time Computer Studies Tutor for the College. I went on to become a full time College tutor for Peterborough College outreach with day and evening classes on Computer Diploma level 2 City and Guilds.
Barbara was born in Florida and has a Nursing Degree. Barbara works for Blue Cross Blue Shield and has done for over ten years. Barbara has one daughter called Mary Laurel and she lives in Jacksonville. The photo on the following pages is one that Mary Laurel took of us at her house on Thanksgiving 2008. Barbara will be writing this paragraph up frequently. More Soon.

We are at County Dock near to our home where we have spent a good deal of time. This occasion was a Jax/Brits do in the nearby park and we all got to eat Brit stuff like Shepards Pie and sausage rolls and Branston Pickle and Cornish Pastie and we hope to meet there again and all wear our winter stuff that stays inside the closet most of the time. We did get to wear our warm stuff on our trip North to Tennessee in Oct.
